Cultural Events

Three cultural communities live here, the Vlachs in the mountains of Pindos, the Hasiotes in the semi-mountains of Hasia and the Garagounis in the lowlands.

Various local events take place throughout the year, starting with the “Meteora Art” events, New Year’s Eve, Christmas, Halloween and of course in the summer with the traditional festivals and not only (wine, chestnut, oregano, corn festival, etc.).

The highlight is the Christmas and Easter celebrations, since Meteora is the second religious monastic destination after Mount Athos in Greece. So experience the mysticism and devotion in a monastery of Meteora, where the soul is at peace between heaven and earth.
